The Nursery

A Nursery fit for a Princess

So here’s the skinny on the nursery project. All of the before, during and after pictures are included below. Now that you’ve seen the dramatic “reveal” post, I’m free of any promised obligations to keeping the less dramatic progression pictures from being published. This was a fun project with some new challenges, but I’ve enjoyed every project I’ve taken on in our house so far, even if I grumbled a little during the process.

Starting from scratch, just four bare, ugly, white walls…
A little yellow to brighten things up. Wait, did we forget to paint the whole wall? Oops!
Looks like this is getting serious, now there’s no base boards? Man this is getting harder and harder looking.
What in the world happened?  Blue!  I thought we were having a girl!
Oh, I get it, its a circus tent.  No?  Hmmm…well, maybe a few more pictures…
As you can see we skipped the gory details of mounting the paneling. Needless to say, it took a looong time (somewhere around 10 hours) just to mount the panels and trim and another 4 hours to paint it all. I think it came out nice.
Everything in place in the room, we think it is just lovely.

Mommy and Ella together in the nursery for the first time. :)
